HISTORY
Roto-Jet Of America Company officially started business in August 1969
with the importation of a European produced "batch" parts washer
designed for cleaning engines.
The
first American produced unit, an RJ-2, was built in 1973 in Camarillo, Calif.
The company was located in Burbank, California from 1978 to 1997 and relocated
to Santa Clarita, California in March of 1997.
Our early customers were primarily automotive
rebuilders including over half of the Aamco Transmission shops in the United
States and plus various schools, municipalities and garages.
With the focus of industrial parts cleaning moving away from the use of
hazardous solvents, we began making units for companies like General Electric,
Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Lockheed, Ingersoll-Rand Corporation, to name
a few.
The military discovered how FAST and THOROUGH our washers were and all of a
sudden, we were shipping units overseas for cleaning unitized tank engines.
LOOKING AHEAD
The future will find us heavily involved in custom-designed equipment to
replace multiple cleaning stations.
What was before a single-step cleaning process has evolved into a multi-stage
procedure of Wash, Rinse and Dry combined with environmentally-friendly and
economical waste management.
